Title: 3PCC Supported SoftPhone
Post by: raza990 on January 27, 2016, 03:34:30 PM
Hi Guys,

Hope all are doing well  :)

I'm looking for a freeware/open-source softphone which supports 3PCC functionality and can work with GAD as endpoint. I know that Bria can support that but need other one.

So, I would like if someone have information about it then please do share with me.

NOTE:
If someone know any softphone which is license dependent and they offer trial version then also share so I will test that with GAD on trail version will see if we can buy licenses of it if it will be useful for us.

Regards,
Raza

The list of supported and tested SIP SW you can find on Genesys sites with documentation (docs.genesys.com)

Hi Kubig,

Ofcourse I saw that list before placing a post here  :)

The only supported softphones are Genesys, Bria or Is-Phone - Where I said, it shouldn't be Genesys or Bria softphone .. However, Is-phone don't provide download package on their website.

So I'm just wondering if somebody tried some other 3rd party softphone which support 3PCC with Genesys.

Of course, there are products which support it, but they are not supported by Genesys yet.

BTW: You could follow older topic http://www.sggu.com/smf/index.php?topic=6904.0

I know that products don't recommended by Genesys - If they do, then ofcourse, Genesys show the name in the supported softphone list and I never open this topic here !

Either it is recommended or not, I will need that for some testing purposes.

Regarding previous sggu topic on endpoints, everyone was proposing IP Phones in his comments. The only softphone I've in forum is Bria or snom 360 _softphone_. Where I dont need Bria, and I can't find snom installation package.

Hummm Genesys will never "recommend" a softphone aside from theirs. Why don't you install GAD SIP Endpoint from Genesys itself?
Why not BRIA? We usually go that path as is less headache for us. $50 dollars per license vs hours of guessing and testing...and support from...??? In 1 job hour those $50 are paid easily.
