Hello,
I am deploying LRM 8.1 and cannot find a definitive list that is required for the ICON application connections.
So far I have found connection is required for the t-server and ocs.
what about GAD, Workspace, URS, ivr t-servers?
We are not using eservices so do not need interaction server.
thanks.

Hi there
all license usage events is based on register/free model within the T-Server logic's. So if you have connection to you T-Server than you have all events about agent login/logout, dn register/unregistered, etc.
For OCS it's the same - usage of agent in predictive/progressive(occ_full) or preview campaign it's a result of event/response in OCS. So again: you have connection to OCS - you have all info about license usage correspond to OCS: agent, cpd, etc.
And that exactly what you need for LRM.
Only one separate connection in LRM you need: if you use the GVP you should connect your LRM to GVP Reporting Server. And GVP Reporting Server should't be used in no-db mode.

thank you.
also for the LRM database, there is no mention on what user permissions are required, say for an oracle db.
I was going to use the same permissions as described in the icon deployment guide- is this the right way?
regards.

In my test with Oracle DB I just create new user with standard schema rights as for icon. But don't forget what Oracle and MS SQL is essentially different in that question.

Hi.
perhaps this news will be worthwhile for you: looks like Genesys start to "shutdown" they own license management solution and now suggest to use the Blackchair Spotlight.
WBR Tim.

Has anyone more information about mentioned product change? I have read some newsletter about that, but without any details.

No official mention but seems a logical move

I used Spotlight.I don't mean to be harsh, but unless you are interested in tracking and rolling back config changes, well, it does not offer any critical functionality that you can't either implement or find in other tools.
As far as I recall, that version I tried did not have anything related to tracking licenses: in fact, it connected just to config server and message server.
