Title: Statistics & filters - not visible in DMA
Post by: G3n35Y5 on April 09, 2016, 10:01:29 AM
Stats & filters created manually in Stat server app options are not visible in DMA  during layout template creation. Is this expected? If not, is there a way to see all these stats & filters in DMA?

No, should be there
Which version of StatServer you are running? Are they visible by CCPulse?
Check logs to see if SS found any error on the creation or not.

How many stat servers do you have?

And have you restarted stat server since adding any filters etc?

....and are you certain you are using the same StatServer which contains your updated stat definitions..?

Thanks everyone for your update. I am using Stat Server 8.5.x. I had restarted Stat Server after  adding the stats and filters. I am using 1 Stat Server pair in HA. If I try to create a filter in DMA (with the same name as the one which exists in Stat Server options) I get an error stating that the filter cannot be created as the name isn't unique. I am using latest version of DMA.

So all logs requested and ideas given? Have you tested???? What you expect us to do?

Both SS HA instances have had the updates and both have been restarted?

I don't agree guys, whenever you create a Stat or a Filter you can see SS gets it working at the moment. I haven't had to restart a SS I think since version 7.2 or so...updates (if well done without errors) are ready to use on clients.
That is why I ask if they are visible on CCPulse who grabs that info online, while ODS needs a process to do so and update some tables. If ODS had a SS disconnection that could be the reason.
Without logs we can keep imaging things only.

Either you get some special releases from Genesys which we don't or someone is getting confused here  ;D

Any option related to the creation of a stat - time profile, mask, filter etc - requires SS restart. Confirmed by the Stat Server deployment guide:

***
Option - Description
<FilterName> - Changes Take Effect: When Stat Server restarts
***

I have to insist and just tested/documented and works as I indicate. I create the new filter, go to CCPulse, ask to reload values by opening Workspace again and select SS and magic! New filter is there available and working. No need to reset SS at all...

Which, if Filter wouldn't exist or be active or had some error would return an error.

Really, as I create reports a lot and modify them never had to do nothing on Metrics or Filters. Will test also with TimeRanges and TimeProfiles.
