Title: Switch to Strategy
Post by: nonny on May 06, 2016, 08:10:52 AM
I'm looking to use the IRD switch to strategy function.  However I've not used it in an environment before.

What issues or limitations have you guys come across with this?

Do you mean "JumpToStrategy" function?

Sorry it's a block/node not really a function.  It calls a Routing Rule that specifies a strategy to switch to.  Block is actually called switch to strategy.

Sort of very generic question.
Just use it - unlikely you will have any issues (if only you not going to jump to strategy from other tenant)

Thanks.  Just have only come across one installation where it was used.  Others do a troute to a new RP where a new strategy starts.  Trying to understand why one would be used over the other.

With TRoute you jump to another RP and new metrics arrive that RP, however with strategy jump you are still on same RP but new logic. Depends on your needs
