Title: different ORS nodes per media
Post by: vma on May 19, 2016, 07:05:37 PM
Hi,

My customer is asking for two different ORS nodes. One for voice and one for email. Anyone implemented this before? Should I use configure one Cassandra cluster or should I configure two Cassandra clusters, one per each media?

Regards,
vma

I do not see any advantages/benefits of having this deployment, but the decision is up to you. From ORS point of view, will be much better to have independent Cassandra cluster for each ORS node to be totally separate from each other solution.

Our direction is towards migrating out voice / eservices to be handled by different ORS clusters but using an enterprise Datastax Cassandra instance.

So, in this case, just deploy two independent ORS cluster (with own Cassandra DC/RACK) and set the cluster's connection just to the T-Server which you will handle by this ORS Cluster. On ORS Cluster for MM you have enable pulling MCR interactions which is disabled by default.

As was written before, there is no advantages having deployment such like this.
