Title: Convert ccpulse storage files
Post by: Leonxxx86 on July 14, 2016, 01:53:46 AM
Hi All,

When i'm trying to convert ccpulse files, in the import and export wizard I can only see Templates, Thresholds, Action but not Workspaces? The question is how do I convert the workspaces from stg to bin?

Another question, Why there are Templates and Templates2 in the storage folder?

Thank you

If you have a Templates2, that's somebody else in your environment doing things.

What version of CCPulse?

First I would think about using newest CCPulse 8.1.x, more features / options added there.
If you have a Template2.stg in your storage folder, then probably somebody made a copy (with Windows Explorer, not with CCPulse).

To convert CCPulse storage from legacy to binary:
- make a backup of your CCPulse storage directory
- define path for legacy and binary in CCPulse application object (section Storage)
- set DefaultStorageType to Binary
- with Import/Export wizzard select Storage 1 type = 7.x Storage, Storage 2 type = Binary Data Files
- copy desired objects from legacy to binary
- repeat for Templates, Actions , Thresholds, but not for Workspaces
- Open a workspace with Storage Type 7.x Storage (File --> Open)
- File --> Save As, Storage Type = Binary Data Files
- Repeat for all Workspaces
Hope it helps.
