Title: Text-To-Specch offered by MCP?
Post by: vma on August 24, 2016, 01:07:24 PM
Hi,
Is MCP offering TTS functionality without Third Party Software? Is there any specific option to enable this other than tipical SIP-GVP integration?
I remeber SM was having somthing.
Thanks,
vma

No, the 3rd party SW is required for that.

thanks Kubig,
it's weird cause the Callback sample is using TTS but this it's not specified anywhere in documentation so now I don't have resources.

Depends on what Callback do you mean (VHT, GMS, etc.) - let me quote the documentation:
GVP supports automatic speech recognition (ASR) and speech synthesis text-tospeech [TTS]) as part of a VoiceXML dialog through supported third party ASR and TTS engines that use the open standards listed in Specifications and Standards.
