Hi ,
we have a single tenant 8.1 Framework solution with SIP and GVP (1 pair of RM's , n MCPs in a LRG). VXML applications are invoked through a playApp block in a strategy (described as URS-Centric in the VPS doc) in which we define a URI for the app. We have a VOIP DN with contact/service type etc registered in SIP to contact the RM VIP address. RM then uses round-robin method in the LRG to target an MCP. When the application completes, control is returned to URS and call flow progresses. This all works fine and has done for a few years.
We now have a need to direct certain sensitive applications to a different set of MCP's which are already in place and built in framework but set to disabled. At present, there are no additional RM's or any other components in place.
My question is, can I target these MCP's on an application by application basis whilst retaining the URS-Centric approach?
ie - http://blah/app1.vxml serviced by existing MCP's, http://blah/app2.vxml is serviced by new MCP's.
I've briefly looked at service selection options using the existing RM's such as geo-location, policy, partition-id and gvp-tenant-id (a non-starter really). Before I go any further has anyone done this before with PlayApp?
I fear we may have to re-engineer and use IVR-Profile's / DID's ,Trunk Groups and a new pair of RM's which I know will work but will be a pain.....
thanks for any words of advice!

Yes, you can use the UpdateExtension function in IRD to insert the 'geo-location' KVP, and create a Logical Resource Group having those MCPs set to that specific geo-location.
