Genesys versus Symposium

I'm trying to find a noniased opinion regarding how Symposium Call Center Server compares to Genesys 6.0. I know that Symposium can't do universal routing of email, fax, etc and i have heard rumors that after release 4(?) it will be yet another dead Nortel product, leaving users in the lurch. Conversely, Genesys is extremely expensive and does not integrate well with Nortel PBX's. Any thoughts, comments, ideas?
