Pavel - are you volunteering to organize this...?

YES

To be clear; I would prefer it if Genesys could convene a "User" User Conference themselves but, having had the experience recently, I think their User Conferences are still concentrated on customers who are business managers and not on collaborations from the community who work with their technologies. I guess it's a case of semantics, at the end of the day... ;D
OK - My thoughts aside, perhaps you should start looking at the major players' corporate calendars, to see if you can snag a (side-) conference room at one of their events..? Much better to get it sponsored/hosted than trying to get it all off the ground yourself...

I think it's a brilliant idea. Not only getting together in a hostel or camp side is enough. To my humble opinion, we need to organize a meeting room, where we can have workshops and seminars.
Telling the truth, although I have had no hands-on programming on Genesys since 2007, I try hard to follow up the latest changes in the industry. Well, not for Genesys, but I could share with you the important aspects on telephony programming (TAPI, CTI, and etc.), CRM, billing & rating, and web service applications for Avaya.
Please keep me in loop...
Cheers,
Ali

Hmmm, a boot camp for Genesys? I don't see why not!
It would be a good idea to summarize the benefits of attending it?
Adam G.:
Everyone,
Not wanting to hijack this thread completely, but.......
The whole idea would be for techies\companies to share ideas and code. Each track could be a day's mix of lectures\demos\discussions\QandA sessions on a subject. Lets say there is a SIP track, we could invite Genesys to talk for 45 mins on SIP Server, Vic you're pretty hot on SIP so you may want to talk about the practicalities of SIP, someone else may discuss different SIP gateway hardware etc.
Rather than me list some possible tracks, what tracks would everyone want to see?
Pavel
