New to Genesys World

Hi All,

I'm very new in Genesys technology.
In my company, I'm the only one person to develop call flow with Genesys 8.1 version.
So I used Composer. My customer requests are dynamic and complicated.
I have to catch up VXML language very first and have to familiar with composer tool quickly.
I've enough programming background. I want to know how can I start efficiently in short time.
What guide book I have to read and reference. I know some books such as Genesys v8.1 VXML 2 reference manual.
But It's not cover for me since I m new. I want to know how can I call javascript function from call flow. And where can I find some example call flow for genesys (not vxml examples).  Appreciate all helping advice to me.

Thanks.

Hi,

Genesys VoiceXML 2.1 Reference help is a good start as it describes supported VXML tags with focus on GVP implementation. Of course, you can download VoiceXML specification and read it as well. It definitely won't be wastage of time but reading could be a difficult as it's technical specification.

About javascript - Composer allows you to include .js file(s) with your script(s) and calling these within Branch and Assign blocks. File(s) must be placed in Scripts folder and listed in the Scripts property of Entry block.

Support.genesyslab.com
But if you are asking this you probably don't have an account and less a partner.
It is not free.
Ask your Genesys partner for it.
