Hello,

I'm new on Genesys Framework, so i would like to know, what are the biggest differences between Genesys Administrator and the Genesys Administrator Extension?

GAX seems to be the direction, with GA getting little to no updates on the recent past.

GAX is a piece of shit though - which is annoying. It’s hard to use and overall just a poor experience.

GA is shit too, but it’s less shit

I cannot agree with previous comment as my personal experience is quite different. In general, I see these major differences:
[li]GA is intended for administrators and technical persons - containing parts which are not available in GAX (GVP configuration, OCS management, etc.)[/li]
[li]GAX is intended (and still developed) for standard users like supervisor, team leaders, agents, quality managers, etc. - all usable tools for end-users are developed and integrated just into GAX (KM, GWE, LFMT, GIR, etc)[/li]
So, from my point of view, both of them are still needed and required (which is little bit shame). However, there is no need to provide access to all users (within call center) to both applications.

Of course, there is lot of differences (technical and business) which cannot be covered here on the forum. Strongly recommend read and follow public documentation and if you got a lab/demo, work there and train.
