Email Fwd as an attachment problem

Hi,

I have a problem with the forward as an attachment functionality. I'm using the 8.5 version of WDE. When I forward the email to an external resource I get the error message as an attachment an it says "Error encountered during preprocessing of this message: No embedded Id in this message Original Incoming Email is attached to this Email."

There is my original message as an attachment, inside this attached mail with error. Documents say you need to assign an address for ext-resource-incoming-address other than the pop client address of your mailbox. I wrote two different pop-client's to Email Server options and I sent my email to pop-client-1 and forwarded it using pop-client-2.

I could not grasp the concept of the fwd as an attachment I guess. Email server both sends the whole conversation on the mail body and it adds the mail as an attachment. I think you need to forward your email to a different domain, otherwise it does not send your mail to an address that is in the same domain with email server. The same functionality was Forward to an external source I remember, but does it work like that?

I have all my privileges and options for Workspace. I have a strategy for email forwarding with Forward Block in IRD. I can forward mails but it has an additional error mail as attachment. Also there are  2 rows of this ".G502R511MG805KEK.00057aDB9K9602BR." at the beginning of the mail. I need to put this forwarding issue together like agents are forwarding it from outlook.

Could you please enlighten me about the issue?

Thank you in advance.

I suppose you are forwarding the email to the address which is part of one of the following option (on ESJ component):
[li]ext-resource-incoming-address[/li]
[li]address (within pop-client configuration)[/li]
HTH!

Hi Kubig,

I'm forwarding incoming mail sent to pop-client-1 account to another recipient. The value in "ext-resource-incoming-address" option, which is described in pop-client-2, is assigned to 'FromAddress' in the logs.

The main purpose is to forward an email to a recipient that is either on external or internal domain.

Thank you.

You cannot forward email to the address matching option "ext-resource-incoming-address" or in general to the address defined in any pop-client section

Hi Kubig,

Let me give an example, I think I miss something.

pop-client-1 address : support@contactgenesys.com
pop-client-2 address : external@contactgenesys.com
ext-resource-incoming-address : external@contactgenesys.com

Agent accepts a mail sent from xxx@gmail.com and wants to forward it to yyy@gmail.com or zzz@contactgenesys.com, isn't that possible? The problem is, agent can send the mail but there is an additional error mail with the original one.

Thank you,
