Looking for new products to sell to Genesys call centers

Hi,

as I was writing my reply regarding Bright Pattern, I just realized something:

we all have some sort of tool / product /script built for use with the existing and/or past Genesys platform. I know that I have at least a couple. So, if we perhaps pool the assets we have, we all would be able to benefit more from this.

Here is what I have:
- OpenCTI salesforce CTI adapter for Genesys (over 3000 seats deployed last year)
- Wallboard for Salesforce from Avaya CMS
- SIP Soft Phone for Genesys SIP
- Wallboard for Genesys
- Outbound campaign management module

I am still chewing on the idea, but how can we create a list of the products we have, and then see if we can resell it for each other?

Thoughts?
Vic

Genesys created the AppFoundry in an attempt to encourage this sort of behaviour. But as a vendor having an application on this site since it launched, there is little to no leads directly generated by this channel.

I was once told having the code is 1/3 of the business, which seems true from my experiences.

Maybe we should talk offline as I have customers that would be interested in some of these features.

AppFoundry is like many other failures from Genesys trying to be "open".
Their forum...failed
Their "community"...failed
Their App foundry -....failed...

Why? Because the idea might be good but they don't do a proper follow or push on them.

When you navigate through Genesys web site there almost no single reference to this AppFoundry unless you know it and you are searching for it. So, zero marketing or trying to sell the idea.

Same happened to the other concepts. Genesys fails very bad in those aspects.
Also by writing our products here well kinda will lose the point as many of us are not exactly sales guys...and they will propably not pass the day reading all ideas here. Never. Ever.

But would be great yes to have a list of possibilities on tools to avoid to create something that already exists
