Hi, I do not have [lca] section in my dbserver.cfg file. so i added the section as below
[lca]
lcaport=4999

now iam not able to start config dbserver from windows services manager. If I do not have the lca section in dbserver.cfg file then i can start config dbserver. In this case, Iam not able to start/stop properly from SCI.

Have anyone faced this issue. Pls help.

Thanks in advance.

And what does logs say?
Independent DBServer or a client for CME?

Config DBServer is installed as independent server.

The Path To Executable property for DBServer service in windows services manager is as shown below.
"C:\Program Files\GCTI\DB Server\multiserver.exe" -service DBServer -cfg

The error I see in the log file is
Mandatory parameter - config server port is not specified

If I modify the Path To Executable property for DBServer service in windows services manager to as shown below,
"C:\Program Files\GCTI\DB Server\multiserver.exe" -service DBServer -app cfg_dbserver -host gen101 -port 2020

now iam able to start config DBServer properly as an independent server. Iam also able to manage it from SCI.

I thought it was valid to use either -cfg or -app cfg_dbserver as iinput parameters for config dbserver. But looks like providing -app cfg_dbserver is the right thing to do.
