Hi,

I am trying to figure out how Genesys IRD 7.1 is deciding which sub_routinges are to pack with the strategy and which ones not to when exporting a strategy.

At first, I thought that if subroutine is mentioned in the strategy, IRD will export it along with the strategy, but this does not seem to be like this. Some of the subroutines are exported, while others are not.

Does anyone know the rule for this? I am using export for strategy backup, so I am really concerned about having everything I need should Genesys DB decides to go sour on me.

Thanks,
Vic

TBH, I thought the same as you. When you export the strat, it just takes all the subs in it. Is there a difference between the subs you say are being exported and the ones that are missing?

  • Never missed a subroutine till now. But be sure to compile all new subs. The list objects are the only ones which are not exported, as far as we experienced.

    Actually there is:

it is a sub of a sub... In other words, if you have a sub that is used in another sub, chances are it is being missed by export. Also, since we are using a lot of subs, I think there is a limit as to how many subs the exporter can track. At least this is the only explanation I can come up with. And yes, it is G7.1 for better or worse! :)
Anyone else had problems like this?

Have a look in the scripts folder in CME. Open up your strat and sub and go to the annex tab. You should find in there all connected subs listed out. I expect the ones your missing are not in there for some reason ?
