Hello All,
I recently asked 3 questions of Nortel, via my Hardware supplier. They were regarding the future of what I think are 2 important features for CTI implementations, and 1 (HEVP) with some promise.
The features were,
1. Plans to allow CTI routing calls to the InCalls Key
2. Plans to support the GIVE RAN message
3. Continued support for HEVP under MLS 4.0.
I have attached the answer I received. I would suggest if you feel these features are important, you contact your Nortel supplier and indicate your requirements, as Nortel doesn't see the demand.
Does anyone else see a need for these feature?
--RESPONSE---
We opened ticket number XXXXXXXX with the ASK group and have received the following response:
To our question regarding routing the calls to the incalls key instead of the secondary DN, Nortel presently have no plans to enhance this.
To our question regarding the availability now or in future releases of Meridian Link Services of the GIVE RAN command when holding a call in the cdn, Nortel have responded that they have no plans to offer this feature (The only available features now are GIVE MUSIC, GIVE SILENCE and GIVE RINGBACK).
Also, stemming from another conversation with Nortel, they have confirmed that HEVP is not available on MLS 4.0 nor are there any plans to add this feature in future releases.
When probed about the reasoning behind the nonavailability of these
features, Nortel stated that the decision to not include these features was based on demand for the functionality.
