has anyone tried to develop a SIP softphone for Genesys SIP Server?

you are better off with using Microsoft RTC and then use your standard tlib for pop-up and other agent state events. IMHO Genesys needs to revamp their support documentation on their products. Eventually they get their act together and do it but by that time one either already came up with a way to get it done or gave up for good.

There are some sample with .Net Server but they are a far-cry from you need. I guess Genesys is too dependent on their professional services to just be nice and give one what he needs.

There is a tool that you will find of great use - java application that reads through Genesys logs and draws pretty stick diagrams: a big help during debugs!
LogVisualizer is the name and your local Genesys vendor should provide it to you for free of charge (at least thats what we do)
