Has anyone had problems (and hopefully solutions) getting Genesys to take control of the call at the route point using Nortel Meridian? When our call center first went live a year or so ago Genesys PS along with the Nortel people had to force Genesys to take the call at the route point level by using the switch's default to send calls to Genesys' first VTO port. We need to find a way to let the switch's default do what it is intended to do and to get Genesys to pick the call up at the route point. A solution offered by tech support is to use a mandatory treatment with a ringback or silence in the strategy. This doesn't work, nor does it seem likely to me that it should.

If anyone has had similar problems I would very much appreciate it if you would share your wisdom with me.

thanx,
olivia

  • I have recently setup VTO in a Meridian environment without any problems. I am curious if there is any thing out of the ordinary you are attempting to do that might cause this problem? Or is there something that I should be concerned for myself in the future?
