GPlus Adapter for Siebel

I'm currently working on an existing Genesys solution with an in-house ActiveX-based softphone. Plans are afoot to put in Siebel across the organisation and at this very early stage in the requirements gathering process, the Gplus Adapter for Siebel has been earmarked as the way to go.

I have some experience of implementing Gplus elsewhere and found it quite a capable and customisable softphone. However once in, the cost of changing it was such that the user migrated back to their old, stand-alone softphone. The costs incurred were due to the high-cost of Siebel-talent, regression testing and rollout of changes.

Back to my current role. I'm keen to make sure we have a full appreciation of the pros and cons of using Gplus, but finding any real information about problems is proving difficult. There are plenty of pros out there - mainly case studies.

What are your experiences....?
