desktop toolkit startup parameters

Is there a way to create an icon on a desktop that would specify an extension and agent login to be used when login in? I have several desktop toolkits on my pc for testing purposes I want to launch them up without a need to logout, change DN and login again.

I am hoping there is a way to specify parameters along with the executable file so I can launch three desktop toolkits at once, each with a different DN and agent login.

  • Hi Peter,

As I know Desktop Toolkit doesn't support any startup parameters. It's possible to export the connection parameters from the registry, modify these and put them back. So you can create several registry files with different connection parameters and apply particular registry file to the registry before starting Desktop Toolkit. I think it should be possible to "automate" this process using a batch file.

Hope the information above helps you.

    Cheers,
    René

Your best bet would be creating a batch file that calls a *.reg file which sets DNs to what you need.

    Did it help you?

    Hi Guys,

Can any of you give me an idea of where these settings would be in the registry?

    Cheers

Never mind found it, for anyone else the startup details are held in:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GCTI\DesktopStarterApp
