Avaya - TSAPI or DLG

We are in the process of upgrading our Map-D card to an Avaya AES Server.    Avaya wants some serious cash to upgrade Definity LAN Gateway.    Is anyone using TSAPI for the TServer connection?  Are there any limitations to using TSAPI?

Its worth the upgrade, as the existing MapD connection is only 10/half so there is limitation of 100 requests per seconds to the card. With the AES server, this limitation is removed for the most part (even though there would be some insane high level number).

Also if you want to intergrate with SIP phones or use SIP T-Server, you will need AES.

How do you get all your devices and stations out of the MAPD and import into the AES server? We have a sight that is going to Avaya CM 4.0 and AES 4.0 from ACM 2.2 with MAPDs. They have multiple links for envision, Aspect, voiceprint, and autodialer and thousand of stations. I know there has to be a way pull the data into an SDB file for the AEs but not sure where to point my counterpart to look.

Hmm, with all the responces you got on this one todavis, I am guessing they are thinking...uhhh..no idea?

Anyways, I haven't personally done this upgrade but if you have a Avaya business partner, they can answer this for you. If you need one, check out my friends at NACR, they are the best.

  • dmoore7648,

I'm afraid you have to use DLG protocol - Genesys do not support TSAPI for Avaya CTI integration.

Avaya price this high for third-party integrations on purpose for competitive reasons.
