SCI problem

I have installed a virtual server (VMware) on my laptop and all the Genesys processes. Configuration Manager works fine. However SCI does not seem to work. Connection with SCS and DBserver is available. But when I select an object in SCI, the program is not responding.

Any ideas ?

Cheers

  • I found this on Genesys web site :

    1. Windows NT registry is full. Check it: My Computer/Properties/Performance/Change...
    2. Windows NT registry is corrupt. Do they have problems with another .dll registration? In this case they should restore Registry.
    3. User has not enough permissions to update registry.
    4. There could be version conflict with previous installation.

Did you have you previously installed SCI before new install? Do you have already registered COMCfgMgr.dll? Can you try to search registry for COMCfgMgr.dll?

Can you try to register this DLL from command line?
    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\GenesysCFGWizards\COMCfgMgr.dll"

Also can you check in the Registry (run regedit) under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GCTI\Solution Control Interface\7.0 and insure that there are 4 entries that should be there.
(Default) with no value, FolderName with a value like Genesys Solutions\Management Layer, MinorVersion with a value like 100.04 and RootFolder with a value of the directory where SCI was installed e.g. C:\GCTI\SolutionControlInterface.
If these entries do not exist, please add them and try to start SCI again.

The customer ran the installation from the Windows installer and it worked where running it from the Genesys installer did not.

  • try adding your name onto hosts file. Also what version of SCI are you using?
If you use that SCI on your Host PC does it work?
