Hello all,

is it possible to create an alarm condition within SCI that looks on one specific config server application and triggers if this application changed to primary mode.
It should catch both, starting to primary mode from stopped status and changing to primary mode from backup mode.

I searched all event codes and only found those two:
21-22502: Signal received to switch to primary mode
21-22915: Config Server is set to [mode] { primary, backup, ..}

But none of them worked. I don't even see them in Centralized Log section. Further I don't know how to react on [mode] for the second event code, because in Alarm Condition Wizard I only can look on those event codes - thats all.

Maybe someone can help..

Goal is: Call script that changes gis.properties to new primary confserv.

Hello again,

my testing machine yesterday was confused - on another system I find those events. But it didn't solved the problem, because I noticed: config server receives 21-22502 upon every startup, but one second later it finds the other config server and then switches to backup mode.

So I have to look at 21-22915, but there I have only one event ID for all modes - in alarm wizard I cannot distinguish between the modes.

Any suggestions?

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

I haven't tested it but you can try event 00-04563 "Hot Standby (Primary) mode activated" or 00-04562 "Warm Standby (Primary) mode activated".
