I have MSSQL 2000 SP4 and Microsoft W2003 Enterprise Editon with Service Pack 1.
I've reinstall several times ETL_Service with DAP, and also delete DM database but the ETL Transfer still not working.

Hello Marty,

you probably had an ODS and you added a new istance; log in ETL assistant and check if your current ODS is specified as source for Datamart. If you have one already, try to add it again.

Hello, I've specified ODS again in ETL assistant but it doesn't help me.

I've solved my problem but I don't know what was the problem. I've removed all component for historical reporting include database for ODS and DM. I've reinstall java to higher version j2re-1_4_2_17, and setup again the historical reporting.

After this ETL transfer is working, maybe it was by the java, I don't know.

Hmmm... had a similar problem and found that there is an "English" java version - and a different "US" version, even though the versions were the same...

The recommendation at the time was to install "English", rather than "US".  I don't know why, but it helped me...

Hi,

here is the problem:

ODS brand, 66CD430D, does not correspond to that of DataMart, 2AF245F

it happens when you rebuild ODS without re-initializing datamart or do it without ETL Assistant :)
ETL marks ODS it is using so if you then change ODS table (uhm, rebuild and forget to put the data in :) ) you get an error like that :)

There was an old ticket (130797) that mentions that on Genesys Support site, which can be summarized as:
"Customer had reinitialized the ODS, but used the same Data Source in the ETL Assistant."

Of course, I had this also happen to me quite a few times when I would use different versions of ODS and ETL as well, but I am sure you are much smarter than me, and would not even consider doing that! :)

Hi Sylvainsjc, Victor,

We have the same issue here.

1 out of our 2 lab setup has the "ODS brand, 66CD430D, does not correspond to that of DataMart, 2AF245F" error. (the other genesys setup works)

We got that issue by upgrading the ETL Runtime to 7.2. (ODS is still at 7.1)

I have looked at the genesys_ods.ol_db_properties and genesys_datamart.dm_property tables and the BRAND value does not match for the setup with the "ODS brand, 66CD430D, does not correspond to that of DataMart, 2AF245F" error.

My question would be... what exactly is your recommended solution to this issue?

I have recreated a new ETL Runtime application in Configuration Manager. That didn't work.
I have deleted the ETL Assistant Data Source and re-created it. That didn't work.
I have uninstalled/re-installed ETL Runtime from the add/remove problem. That didn't work.

Thanks for your help,
Greatly appreciated.
Johnny

The simple way is to update the brand value in ETL database in dm_property
Don't forget to make a backup of your database(s) before to update and test
Best regards
