Hi guys,
I'm trying to install a GVP at customer, so far I could install the base software (CoreSetup) however when try to install EMPS it shows me an error about compatibility. The documentation tells me that it should work but a quotation shows "In 32bit compatibility mode", how do I set up this option?
Thanks

This time last year I attempted to install GVP 7.5 onto a windows 2003 64bit OS and I was not able to install the dispencer as it would fail.  Tried all sorts to get it to work and raised a ticket to Genesys.  Response from Tier 3 was to format the OS as 32bit (!?)  I was told that the 64Bit was not fully tested despite it being documented as GA. Seems like their testing manager recently worked for Microsoft.

Once I did this the install worked and then I moved onto other issues with GVP (sigh).  For your sake I hope they fixed alot of thing in GVP 7.6, but by the sounds of it they did not :(

Good luck

WEll just received the same answer for 7.6...first time I find that documentation is not trustable...bad for Genesys...bad. Made me loose a lot of time.

Once I got past this issue I hit several other problems. The server was rebuilt several times, if you make just one little mistake the install fails. Once it fails there is no way to recover and I was told to format and start again each time.

GVP 7.5 installer is a horrible horrible thing  :o

Hi,

Got the same problem this week.  Win2003 64bit is not supported anymore for the GVP.

Take a look at the latest Supported Operating Environment - Reference Manual p33.

Enjoy,
Bernard

Yes, found the same, what bothers me is that that removal was never mentioned
