New Genesys Support search engine

Hi guys,
Have you noted that the search engine for tickets on support website has been updated? It is nicer and has new things to use but what I hate and really makes me work slower is the fact that now you can only open a single question on the same page, I can't open many links at once and keep reading while they all finish to load because they now use javascript links...so if you open one in a new tab/window it will not work. I wrote a suggestion to the webmaster but no response yet...
I think any change will make our life easier and faster, no slower.
Or maybe there is a configuration on the personal profile to change this setting but I have not been able to find it...

Any opinions?

I really like the recent Genesys search engine. Compared to the monstrosity they had before, it is simmply wonderful. Also layout is much much better than before. So, both relevance and layout is definitely an improvement. Lack of ability to open more than one document at a time is a real pain in a butt, and I wish they would change that.
Overall, I thought the site was drastically improved and really enjoy looking through it now more than ever. Of course, the betetr it gets the more we want...

So here is my list:

I would love to be able to email the document to myself, since usually if it is a manual, I glance at it MORE than once. If they are afraid of people mailing docs to other people, there is always a way to just have "mail to me" button that emails the document to the email registered with the account (why else would they want your email address, right? :) )

It would be really awesome if they tracked release documents and emailed us the additions that were added since we saw it last. Just think of it, you look at SIP T-Server release notes and then you get notifications of the stuff they have added later. Should be pretty simple to do, and I am sure most of us would simply love it...

There is way too many categories, and sometimes I have problem finding Avaya T-Server that is NOT G3...
Something graphical where ou have a picture of layout with S/S, T/S, C/S, URS, ODS, etc would make it easier to find the related documents. I have never thought in layers or platforms  - to me Statserver is Statserver, not CIM platform or enterprise routing.

I want to have a picture of a beautiful girl when I log out, asking me to come again. If they ever wanted people to actually log out, this would DEFINITELY get them! (For girls, obviously, we are going to have a picture of me :) , and for Pavel - Poodle :) )

Just a thought, regarding your second support request:
I had asked Genesys about that a few years ago, asking if document revision notes could be included somewhere. I was told that, at the time, their process only tracked that a change had been made, and, without manual intervention, could not differentiate between a new section added and a misspelled word corrected. They felt that manually tracking and updating changes would be too resource intensive.

Granted, this was 3+ years ago. They may have changed their processes since then. One can hope...

Don't get me wrong, I do like the new look. It was just a suggestion. :)

I do not think most of vendors out there do that, but it would be really great if they started to. I would be mroe thanhappy to offer them my services with wirting the script to track revisions and send it to users :)

I too agree that they improved a lot on the search engine and also the solution search.
however, they still lack the minor parts.
I cannot select one and open in new window. I have to open in the same window- which is frustrating sometimes.
And also I see that some of the documents are not available at that moment- not sure how manyfaced it... but seeing it ever since they changed the look and feel of the support site

Yup, I opened an SR about it and they told me that many people has complained about the same and they are searching for solution with the software provider...now...

Update...they just fixed it! Yey!
