Setting up Genesys Routing Strategy

Hello,
We are in the process of planning, creating and setting up a Genesys routing strategy and want to check the process in doing so.
Using an alcatel 4760 pbx switch, we already have 2/3 routing strategies already set up.  A pilot, disuasion queue and forwarding processing group have been created within the pbx, followed by a hunt group.  Each hunt group contains 3 users (not phone (CCD) or agent (ACD) extensions).
Within IRD, the routing strategies are pointing to the alcatel hunt group.  I can only assume the hunt group is used to direct the call from the pbx into the routing strategy.
Is this the correct or most effective way to setting up a routing strategy?
Queuing calls are handled by the pbx at the moment, but we want to move away from this and have Genesys handle the interaction from start to end.  One of the questions is where does Genesys look for to apply voice treatments?  I know they are all uploaded into the pbx and primarily used by the pilots at the moment (to play the onhold music for example).
Any other pieces of advise?
Thanks.

Hi,
There is no such thing as an Alcatel 4760. Alcatel OXE is what you have and 4760 is the administration/taxation software.
What you mention about Pilot/queue/disuassion queue/processing group and such has nothing to do with Genesys, it is all ACD configuration.
Alcatel used to use the hunting groups as routing Points (check TServer guide) but now we use RSI objects (licensed on OXE side).
What is the best for you is how the project implementator who was a trained and certified engineer (OXE and Genesys) decided was for you.
I'd advise to have someone with knowledge to see what is your PBX limits, Genesys limits, etc. because for example some customers may only want popup functionality and so no URS or any other license will be needed.

Thanks.

It looks like we are using the old method to route calls in Genesys (hunting groups) but want to use RSI now.  I have read the T-server documentation regarding the deployment of this.  It states how to create a RSI but makes no mention of requiring an RSI processing group.  How is the RSI and Processing Group (type RSI) linked? Once both are created, should we assign this PG to the agents (in effect defined as RSI agents) then create the routing point DN in CME?

RSI PG has nothing to do. It is a complete different thing and a complete different licensing. Please ask your Alcatel support to help you with this issues. There are a lot of things to consider on Alcatel side and on Genesys side.
