This causes the call to be diverted to the ACD queue associated to the CDN at PBX level

But there must be something in your PBX that tell it to behave like that (RP) so maybe you need to adjust that configuration...that is what I usually do in Alcatel when don't want incoming calls to be overflown.

Why would you not use 2 step on a Nortel switch?  A single step transfer (actually executed as a 2-step by TS to the PBX - Initiate Transfer, Complete Transfer) will cause the called party to hear a ring splash while the call is transferred.  With the CPD behind the switch, you should use a two step transfer (on Nortel), you would then have to only contend with music on hold during the consultative hold.

Two-Step will also allow CPD to disconnect the call, if needed.  I'm not really sure why a single step disables a disconnect from CPD, it should still have control of the call, but that's what the docs say.

Hi all.

Thanks for the answers. Let me explain better explain what I mean to do.
I want to drop outbound calls if there is more than 6 seconds waiting time.

I can do it through CPD Server (though option) only if I use 2 step transfer, which I do not want to use.

Then I have to find other way to release the call.
I can not do it by routing the call to a CDN as it is not possible to configure CDN to disconnect the call (thanks PhoneBill
I can make it by routing the call towards an extension (configured just for this purpose) and by answering and releasing the call immediately through strategy attached to extension.

Here comes my question : can I configure an extension at PBX level and monitor it without configuring or installing any softphone or hardware phone.
I am used do it with Alcatel by configuring Ghost DN.
I was wondering if I could do the same at Nortel level.
