Call Manager 4.1 and Genesys 7.2 Ghost call issue

We had our network flap last week causing hundreds of ghost call in the queue. It was suggested that an upgrade to Call Manager 6.0 and Genesys 7.5 with resolve the issue with the ghost calls as a result of the network problem. Is this the only solution? Everything is really running smoothly but that hiccup has some of our directors asking some question. Can anyone give me some input please... thanks

Do you mean calls that looks stuck just in CCP?

Add/configure the Statserver option statserver/check-stuck-calls=yes

This will make Statserver ask (every 10 minutes) Tserver if there really is a call, and if not - removes it from queue.

Actually stuck calls also in the routing. When the gateways in our regional offices dropped due to lost sync as our network flapped  all the calls in those sites dropped, but Genesys did not pick up on the lost calls and still tried to route the calls. Hence 100's of calls sitting in the queue non-existent stuck and then when the network recovered and calls inbound resumed we had agents sitting waiting for calls to be routed. Apparently its a flaw with the CIT JTapi in Cisco Call Manager 4.1 and Genesys 7.2.. This is what i am questioning.. Bare in mind i got thrown into the deepend of Genesys and I am very new to this..

I would suggest you to first upgrade your TServer to 7.6 and use socket mode (see TS reference guide). Upgrading TServer is nothing regarding to a Cisco CCM Upgrade (and normaly you do not have to upgrade the other genesys components -check the compatibility references on Genesys Support site). Having used several versions of Cisco TServer before 7600701 that we currently have, from my point of view, the 7.6 is really more reliable. I experienced ghost calls and events loss with earlier releases and since the upgrade, it is really better. fyi, we have ccm 4.1.3.
