Hi,

I'm testing the DMX Server and I want to know if the DMX proxy can handle the Netmeeting Application Sharing commands.

Did anyone test that already ? Any tips ?

Thanks,
Alvaro

Sorry for the delayed response. I was out for a week.
We are a little bit behind with testing ICC, but hopefully we will start it next week or so. How far did you progress?
What was your overall VoIP impression? How well does Genesys handle it? What problems have you encountered? Any tips?
Sorry for not being too much of a help!
Vic

"How far did you progress?"
I have installed the DMX, SM and the SMCP TServer and it is working fine inside the same network.
"What was your overall VoIP impression?"
Up to now it looks good, we are deciding if we do really do need ICC or just the VoIP suite up here.
"How well does Genesys handle it?"
We didn't do any performance test yet.
"What problems have you encountered?"
I couldn't make the SM work properly with the SCI. It is not starting it properly thru the SCI GUI.
The SM wouldn't work if it was not installed as a service.
I'm testing this week the VoIP and firewall configuration.
Please let me know if you can make the application sharing work thru the DMX.
Good luck,
Alvaro

Alvaro,

I am having the same problem with SM. I cannot get it to work with SCS! Aaargh...

What is even more frightening after installing AgentStarter LCA started returning errors stating that there was an error with a particular DLL. I tried reinstalling Management LAyer, but to no avail. I do not have time to reinstall the whole NT:( So, my SCI is useless now!

  • To make DMX server start T.120 session you need to add t120=true on the DMX Server on the CME on the xconfig folder.

I've tested and it is working there are just a few limitations:

T.120 session will be closed after any transfer, conference or
    hold/retrieve operation
Only the NetMeeting implementation of data sharing (T.120) has been tested well.
T.120 support for outbound, internal, consult calls needs to be explored more.
