Hi Everyone,
I have been toying with the idea of producing The Rough Guides... as an actual commercial publication, rather than a series of PDF files. Obviously the content would change slightly and it would include many more sections on the funtionality (and vagaries!) of the Genesys Solution components. I'm thinking it would be somewhere between a white paper and a technical cookbook, designed for "the masses" rather than just techies...
For those of you who have read through the Guides (hopefully one or two of you

), you'll have an idea of the style I applied to them - factual, easily-read and understood and (apparently) highly versatile. There is no intended readership demographic - it's something that anyone can pick up and find some use for it...
I want to add in a whole host of other aspects but I am fully aware of the introduction of v8.x and I don't want the publication to go out of date on the day I get it printed(!) So - now I need your opinion(s) as to what the Guides book should contain... Here's a shortlist of what I am thinking;
>Everything that is already in the Guides should be included, in individual Chapters - but with more comprehensive notes and more in-depth explainations of the components themselves.
>New sections for each Solution; Best Practices, Architecture, Design, (Project and BAU) Delivery, Development, Testing, Implementation, QC and Support.
>A series of "crib sheets" as appendices/annexures, relational to Solution Deployments.
>An overview section on Genesys Support, PS, Partners, Licensing and everything corporate(!)
Aside from these aspects, is there anything you would like to see in it...?
If it fitted in your back pocket - would you want one..

Your thoughts, as ever, would be very much appreciated!
Thanks everyone,
Tony
