OCS Mandatory Field names

Is is possible to change the names of the mantatory fields in OCS?

For example, one mandatory field is CHAIN_ID, which has a type of CHAIN. I want to be able to create a new field with the same type but called XX_CHAIN_ID. I then want to use the same prefix for all the mandatory and custom fields. The custom fields work OK but i'm struggling with the mandatory.

I've created the table with the new column names, and in CME a calling list and table access. However when I try to view this in OCM, I get "CHAIN_ID - Invalid Itentifier" error. Where is OCS/OCM reading CHAIN_ID from?

I've never attempted this, I've often wondered.

But mandatory field usually means mandatory, not customizable.

I'm fairly certain you can't change them at all.

What's your reasoning for changing the field names?

Rene - Thanks, That's what I thought.  I have been trying various things this morning, but OCS still tries to index CHAIN_ID.

Dionysis - We have a single tenant environment, with a number of departments each configured into their own config units. Different departments want different labels displayed in GAD, and these are configured in the annex tab of the field.

Thanks anyway.
