TServer Registers All DNs on switch

Hi, anybody knows why my TServer on MLink 5.02 registers all DNs upon startup. It seems that it causes the switch to delay LOGIN and MAKECALL request by more than a minute.

Is there any way of making the TServer NOT register all DNs?

Thanks

Dave

Scott,

TServer will register all DNs that are entered in Config Manager with the "Register" attribute checked (look at a DN, and you'll see it on the properties page).

If you have DNs listed in CME that you are not using, you can either delete them or uncheck the Register box. Otherwise, TServer needs to register all the DNs so it receives all of the events for them.

    Hi, Scot,

this is because you are using Meridian Link.

When TServer for Meridian link starts, it does not register each and every DN, instead, it tells PBX to register all CTIenabled (AST=y) DNs... There fore if you have only one DN in CME, and 1000 on switch, your TServer will register all DNs on your switch (this is done through the command RegisterAll that you can see in your log) kind of sucks when you have both SCCS and MLink on the same switch! But a the same time makes a lot of things easier depending on what you need.

In case of SCCS, TServer will only register for DNs specified in CME.

Hope it cleared it up for you.
