Do you have something you can pass the SQL through...?  MySQL or TOAD or something...??  If you can, try it "as is" and then try it without the annoying "N"...

Just got it working fella, with this:

(CONVERT(VARCHAR( ,(DATEADD(day,-1, GETDATE())), 112)  = AL3.DATE_YYYYMMDD)

Had to ask the people who made the database to figure that one out for me though!

I have a feeling yours would have worked as well, just my fat fingers (even when c+p) probably messed it up
