Does anyone know how to use a specific Trunk for outbound calls? We are using Definity G3 switch. Basically I am using Predictive Dialer to make outbound call. The call go through our regular outbound trunk, now I need to send through a specific trunk.

Thanks.

  • When using outbound dialing, your default DN associated with the campaign in CME (Q or VDN) will have a Class of Service (of Class of Restriction, I cant remember) on the G3 switch. You will have to change the COS (COR) to only use specific trunk groups. I dont think you can isolate a single trunk, but youcertainly can isolate a trunk group.

This is useful when running multiple campaigns of different size and different service levels.

  • Thanks for your info. I am not using Genesys Outbound , we developed our own Outbound application using ActiveX desktop toolkit. It is working fine, I had the problem, but we got the help from AVAYA. Now my Outbound calls are going through ISDN trunk group, which is faster than Copper trunk group.

    Once again thanks.
