Still learning GVP 7.6....
Got it working with Tserver and Iserver up and running but need to have back up plan when things go bad.
Is it possible to have GVP 7.6 (VCS) answering calls without Tserver and Iserver?

Thanks in advance.

Yes of course, what you will lose is the URS/Tserver integration, so you can't use URS objects or attach data.

Create autologin functionality for your ports,  so when PBX uses the queue relatioated, GVP is going to answer.

hope this help u

I don't think auto login will do here because GVP 6.5 works fine without it.

I thought all you have to is setting "Application URL in case of failures" to some number such as 1234.xml and have 1234 provisioned in the app.

Is there something I missed?

I'm doing behind-switch-mode.
So when Tserver/TserverIVR is down, doesn't it take default DNIS and invokes application where default DNIS is configured?

if pbx is routeing a queue and u have ur ports asociated with them, why do u need a RP(DNIS) ...?
TserverIvr can provide functionality without Tserver....
U need autologin 2 acomplish it...

My issue is VCS already answered the call with Tserver and TserverIVR down.
Since Tserver and TserverIVR are down, VCS takes default DNIS from GVP.ini setting then it should invoke an application where default DNIS is set.

But VCS is failing on "StartRingback" on those default DNIS.

are u using voice treatment ports? u dont need login functionality in these objects, but if u r using extensions.. u will need an agent logged on that port(not good idea), if u use ACD POsitions u can use autologin.

Default Dnis can not be a lot of numbers...actually is only one parameter provitioned on EMPS or VPM. One thing u can do is to provition ALL the  E1 ports numbers, so when VCS look for a port it will answer.

u can find the .xml i am talking about on teh gvp instalation folders, if i remember well when u provition sth on emps a .xml file will be created under a folder called url_mappings ... this file is what need to work on ur issue

At times I have seen the DNIS to come across as the Genesys variable $did$ when T/I Servers are down. You can copy and rename one of your DNIS.xml files to $did$.xml so that in this scenario you will also be able to pick up a call.

it turns out that it needs to set to any url that works, not did.xml.
In my case, I could use main.jsp.
