Using UUI

Hello,
I'm trying to do the following using an Avaya Definity G3V9.5:
1/ I receive an Inbound Call and do an adjunct
2/ A Genesys strategy attach a UU_DATA key and transfer the call to another VDN.
3/ On the new VDN, the vector route the call to an external number (I expect having UUI data on that call).
4/ I Receive the call on the external switch and read the UUI in a strategy.

On step number 2, the UU_DATA seems to be correctly received by T/S and an AttributeExtensions UU_DATA is present on the following RequestRouteCall, but when I receive the call on the other switch, no UUI data seems to be present (Expecting to receive a UU_DATA attached data.
I don't know if UUI data as been correctly sent and is present on the transfered call ...
Is there anything to setup on the switch or genesys options to enable the UUI data transfers to the ASAI link ? Any Idea on what could be wrong ?
Thanks for your help

  • There are several ways you can route a call.

    Using UUI:
Look in your TServer options, and see what your cast ype is. Is is set to directuui? Look in the log of remote TServer. What does UUI field say?

    Using ISCC:
Another way would be using ISCC protocol. In that case, you would need to have your cast ype set to route, add access codes to your switches and external routing points to each switch.

Some people like to use UUI others ISCC. It would be nice to hear as to advantages of both in G3 environment.

  • We are not on a multisite environnement and the external device will be a non genesys compatible IVR. I think that the option you mentioned is for genesys multisites. I tried to use it but it does not change anything.

I am doing tests using the same G3 simulating both sides. The test is to write informations on the UUI and to read it (the G3 route a call from a VDN to another VDN through an external T line). A strategy is loaded on a VDN, I call that VDN from outside. The strategy attach a UU_DATA key to the call and forward it to another VDN. On that new VDN, I use a route to command on the vector to route the call to an external number (corresponding to a third VDN accessed from the telecom network). I use a VDN to route the call outside the switch as I think that it is not doable on the strategy (we have to declare a CME DN as destination). On the third VDN, I use a strategy to read the UU_DATA. Unfortunately, I don't know if the writing works, as I do not receive any UU_DATA for the call incoming on the third DN.
I don't know if everything is well setup on Genesys or the G3 as I never received any data in the UUI field (this is our first try).

    Any Idea ?
