Has anybody used InterVoice IVR ports as agents behind a Meridian PBX and used IR to do routing to IVR ports?? Calls would first come to Meridian CDN which is a route point in CME and strategy would control which ports to send the call to. We have ports that are assigned to certain business units and they play different greetings. Ports will act as agents in terms of ready/not ready. IR will route calls and strategy will control number of calls currently active based on business units.

  • This should not be a problem. Some of our clients are doing it right now. One thing you have to be very careful is that your IVR can answer on a DN and not ACD Position. Usually, PBX people would take care of it.

You will need a driver between TServer and your IVR to pass calldata and attached data between the two, but other than that, that should not be that big of project.

Based on my very limited experience, Brite is a really good IVR maker, and it works really nice with Genesys. I would be careful with using the driver that comes along with Brite for Genesys, and check the prerequisites one more time, because we have had to counter a problem with the driver when we used it on G6.

But, if you have already IVR working with G6, you should not have to worry about it.
