GPlus for Siebel 7, Problem with GenComm7.dll

Hello People!!!... i'm using gplus adapter for Siebel 7 and Siebel 7.0.3.

I have already install the GPlus Adapter at the server at the directory c:\sea703\siebsrvr ; made the changes on gencomm7.def file (Server:ServerHost;Driver:ServerPort; and let Service:"@{DNList}" as default value) and imported into Siebel, I believe I have configured the driver parameters and profile correctly. When either the webclient or the dedicated client is invoked and error message is displayed stating "Unable to load communication driver DLL gencomm7". The gencomm7.dll is located in the siebsrvr\bin directory. I would like some direction as to how to solve this.

Thanks
Demian

  • 1st of all can you check that you put GenComm7 as Library Name and nothing else. Second thing, can you check your Call Center Object Manager configuration. If you are going to use the Siebel7 thin client this cnofiguration needs to be:
    Enable Communication: TRUE
    Simulate Communication: FALSE
    Local Communication Driver: FALSE
Can you also check that you are not accessing the different servers through a Proxy as this may cause some problems.

  • Thanks for your response Gauthier,

I have check the configuration file and made the change in option of LocalDrive = False.

i have change the client because now we are using siebel 7.0.3 in Spanish ESN.

Now i'm not getting the erros that was unable to load the driver, i'm just getting a message that says: "El modulo", i'm making some test and i need to configure an queue, teleset to try to login trhough siebel.

  • What type of PBX are you using(vendor, release, CTI link version, etc.)? What is the release of the GPlus adapter that you are using?
