Resources for Genesys training materials?

I'm looking for some materials (preferably free resources, if they exist) for the Genesys platform installation & configuration (or more, if you know of any). I've found lots of resources, it's just that they're very expensive and I want to get a handle on whether I even have the aptitude to learn about the platform without investing too much $ until I'm confident I can.
