SCI not connected to dbserver

Hello again,
I have a strange problem. I have installed framework on a machine and everything works great but then I had to have a dedicated machine for databases so I installed the Log dbserver on that machine. Now SCI doesn't want to connect to the dbserver anymore. Anything special I have to do if it's cross multiple server installation? I have connections to the SCS and the DAP which is tested so it's good.
Thank you!

You have:
Server 1:
CfgServer installed on

Server 2:
LCA
DBServer_LOG

On CME:
LOG_DAP pointing to DBServer_LOG with new configuration

Right? What does MessageServer logs say?

Which database server are you using? MS-SQL or Oracle?

In order for Genesys DBServer to work, you also need to install the Oracle client or MS-SQL Native client on the same box as DBServer.

For some reason the port I was using for DBServer_Log (2220) was closed or something but once I changed it everything works fine.
Thank you!

I'm back with this problem. After a while I noticed that the connection is not as it is upposed to be.
In fact in SCI if I select 'Centralized Log', Alarm History' or 'Audit' in the title bar it sais that it is connected to DB server. If I select any other options like Applications or Hosts... it sais not connected to DB server. I have looked in the logs and all seems OK, there are no errors.
Any ideeas?
Thank you,
Mihai

I downgraded SCI from 802 to 801 and I don't get the "not connected to DB server" message anymore. Still no alarms are raised. I shut down a server and in hots it sais it's down but no alarms. I shut down some applications from services still no alarms even if it sais the app is down.
What else should I do? SCI is connected to SCS, LOG_Dap and Configuration Server.

solved it :)
SCS is starting as SYSTEM account and SYSTEM didn't had rights on alarms.

Thank you!
