Multiple Answer Points

Hi Guys,

Could someone please advise....... (i will try to describe this as best as i can) :P

In BT land I used to be able to have one 0845 number that would carry out any routing then land at a site. Now sometimes we could overlay other 0845 numbers on top so that for marketing we could dial a new number that would act as a "front" for the original. For example

0845 123 987 would route to site a after a routing strategy
but the new marketing number 0845 123 789 would simply point to 0845 123 987.
By doing this it would minimise any errors in routing and it was quicker/simpler to use.

Now that i have come to cable and wireless and Genesys im looking to see if we can do something similar. Some people say yes and some people say no - can someone please tell me who is right................

(Hopefully the above makes sense)

Thanks

Are you talking about Genesys in the network?

If so you would need to talk to C&W to see if they have such a product.
If not you would still need to talk to C&W to understand what they offer as part of their intellegent network offering.

Steve, cheers for that.........

yeah Genesys is in the network. I would have thought they would have something like what im after as it doesnt seem that difficult a solution however my contact that acts as a go-between simply says no without investigating - up against a brick wall here...........

Hi CDU311,

why don't you assign 0845 123 789 the same strategy as 0845 123 987?

or put an immidiate forward to 0845 123 789 to go to 0845 123 987 at Pabx level.

cheers
