Correct Version didn't get updated in CME

Hi Guys,

We have recently upgraded the Genesys application from 7.6 to 8.0 . The application was ssucessfully installed on the syetem. On the Application, we are able to see the correct version but in CME , its still showing the old version .

I believe we can update the version manually to the Config database(cfg_application table)  but i am not sure what would be the depedency n impact to other tables in Config Db and app by this.

Any sort of suggestion will really helpful for me to go ahead on this.

As far as I know the version in CME does nothing and has no dependancies, so changing it is not a problem.

Of course you can edit the database directly, but that would require you the stop and start the config server. Some applications allow you to change the version number directly in CME.  In CME go to the application - right click and select wizard then configure - you will see the version number which you can change freely.

Note this doesn't work for all applications, for T-Servers and Message Servers it does but for Stat-Servers and URS it doesn't. This might depend on the version of template you used to build the app in the first place?

Can you please explain on the last point stated "depend on the version of template you used to build the app in the first place?".

Is it something specific to Application Template Version used perviously ?

When I wrote my reply, I was looking at CME, and could get to the wizard for T-Server and Message Server but not Stat Server and URS.

I'm sure that in the past I've use the wizard for Stat Server too, so I was trying to think what would change to allow it on some systems but not others. I've now checked a couple of different systems and it doesn't work for SS or URS on any of them.

Hi Steve, sunbabu15, just install the "Stat Server Configuration Wizard" and the "Universal Routing Configuration Wizard" on the same machine of your CME app. After the installation completed, restart your CME app. Then, you should be able to right click and select wizard (and then "configure") on your statserver/urs apps.

These wizards can be downloaded from the Genesys support web site.
