Does anybody know if we have to update the Meridian Link configuration if IP address of the TServer is changed ??? I know we have to update Config server, etc. to reflect the new IP address.
Also, does anybody know the command to restart Meridian Link?

  • There is not need to update MLINK if your TServer IP has changed. It is not an avaya one :)
You can restart in in MAINT propt of MLINK by restart command, but, since you are asking it, it means you should not be doing it, because you need some additional settings in PBX to get it to work.
I would suggest STRONGLY against you restarting it on your own without PBX people. You really can mess it up.

  • Thanks Vic. But is safe to restart the Link without hurting anything in the PBX ??? I never had to do it for Meridian. I feel very confident on doing it in Avaya PBX.

  • Well, you will need to disable the link with "disable" before restart :)

  • To restart Mlink:
Go to the MLink Maint prompt & enter the command "powerdown".
The system will then prompt you whether you are doing a reboot or shutdown etc. Quite simple just Q&A :)
