Hi Victor,
We plan to use it to have two differents calls centers. One for developer to test. One for the client for their tests. So, two logicals environments for one switch.

We plan to do the same for our production site, one for the call centers and the other for the formation on the agents.

But you still will have only one place for all applications! What is the benefit?

  • Hello Vic, you wrote, what is the benefit, but what is the problem ?

The way we manage our environments is the same for all our products.Main Frame, Client/Server, Workflow and CTI. We (IT team) built a kind of infrastructure where we can experiment, test, give the same environment to the users for their own tests and experimentation.
Because the machines are pretty expensive, we decides to put 2 logicals environments on one machine. So Genesys, with the multitenant option is great.
And if one day we decide to rent our calls center services to and other party, we are going to be set.

Maybe I did not understant what you mean by one place for all the applications. For the prod, we have 2 sites, so 2 TServer. If we had a tenant, we are going to ad an other TServer for this tenans.

    Hi, Josee,

you can only add the following for tenants:

    Access Groups Places
    Action Codes Scripts
    Agent Groups Skills
    Calling Lists Statistical Days
    Campaigns Statistical Tables
    DN Groups Switches
    Fields Table Access
    Filters Time Zones
    Formats Transactions
    IVRs Treatments
    Persons Voice Prompts
    Place Groups

TServer is an application.... How would you be able to add TServer per tenant? Do you mean to say just add additional TServer in Application and select tenant for it each time you add a new customer?

Have you had any trouble with getting URS or other products to work in multi enant environment. What are some of the benefits you have found for reporting?

Hi Vic, sorry for the delay,

You have to create 2 TServer in "Applications", one will have a link with your first tenant, and the other with the other tenant.

In each tenant, you have to define a switch. Both have a link with the Switching Office you defined in "Environment". Each switch has a unique name, even the PBX is the same. Each has is own range of DN and login ID.

    For each TServer, in :
General Tab, you specify the tenant,
Switches Tab, the switch you define for the tenant,
Server Info, we have the same host for both TServe, but different communication port,
Start Info, each has is own working directory, ect...

For CCon, DBServer, UR Server and so on, you have to specify the tenants you use and make the connections.

I can use URS with my 2 tenants, I can do some basic routing. I built 2 strategies. The code is the same but the name have to be unique. And it worked. But I'm beginning the experimentation. So, this is where I am by now.

I hope it'll help and it answered your question. Tell me if you need more details.
