Genesys Licenses being used /Checked out

Hello,
We recently had a new Genesys deployement. We use FlexLM for our licensing.
I want to see that for various genesys products in our envr, how many genesys licenses are being checked out, and how many of them are actually being used.

Any suggestions, as to how I can achieve this?

Thank you.

Yes,but you have to use LRM solution(License reporting management). This "component" gets licence status of each FlexLM and build report. Check Genesys Administrator Extension(GAX) and LRM. Hope this help.

There are 2 levels to your question. Are you talking about how many DN (or other licenses) are being checked out from FlexLM or are you talking about how many agent seats are 'actually' being used?

FlexLm Manager will give you the individual licenses being checked out by apps but this really pointless really - as long as the solution works.

The second question about the agents seats is the important one. If your question is about your company and it has 500 seat licenses and you want to know who many of these you actually use, then the answer is important. It's elsewhere on this Forum but a guy called Tony Tillyer created an audit\survey system that maps the number of seats actually being used. I have first hand experiance of the audit and it saves $$$$$$. Going back to your original question, if the audit shows you're using 400 seats, for example, then it means that you are within your rights to expand your environement by another 100 seats because you've already paid for them. The results we had were that we could grow with out buying anymore licenses - G and the SI tried to get us to buy more licenses until we showed the the audit results and then they backed down.

Hope it helps

You can expand your own environment configuring as many seats / places / agents as you want : you will always be limited by the overall number of routable seats checked out.
I guess the audit would be useful for the other way around: you purchased 500 seats, figured out you actually use 400, and you ask Genesys to modify the commercial agreement and start paying for 400?

Exactly Fra

I can't comment about the numbers of licensed seats that may be over-sold  :o
