Invalid Destination DN after SIP HA Failover

Hello,

When we performed a switchover from our primary to backup SIP Server, random agents would not receive inbound calls, despite having the skill.
URS logs showed an invalid destination DN error, sip logs showed out of service DN.
We deleted, then recreated the extension to resolve the issue.
Upon checking genesys solution site, it advises the issue is common during HA switch/failovers and to add the following option to the end point/extensiob DN (use-register-for-service-state=true)
We are using sipserver 8.0.4.
Has anyone experienced this behaviour?
Thanks.

Which version exactly have you got?Try to upgrade to this version 8.0.401.06 ,which fixed following bug/issue:

SIP Server no longer processess DN state change synchronization requests that it receives when operating in Primary mode. Previously, some switchover scenarios could result in SIP Server incorrectly placing certain DNs out of service due to mis-timed synchronization requests.

which corresponds to the description of your problem

So,the option "use-register-for-service-state" ..if is set to "true",SIP server check DN state and can switch DN state to "out-of-service",if is set to "false" SIP Server do not check DN state.

We will try the upgrade.
Also experiencing delays when initiating transfers in GAD - probably also hot fixed at some point.
This resolves itself when switching backover to the main sip.
Thanks.

Hi,

Delays in transfer after switchover can mean that You have problem in network. After VIP address is moved to second SIP Server network has problems with delivering SIP messages to second node and this may be causing delays.
