GVP 8 Exam

I am scheduled to take the GVP8 exam this Friday, and although reading the training course material, user guides and deployment guides are there are mock exams available from Genesys? This is something that appears to be common place in the Cisco world but I can't find anything from Genesys that provides any indication of the type or structure of the questions for the exam. Has anyone taken this exam and able to provide any tips in terms of technical knowledge focus areas, etc?

There are some sample questions. Go to page http://www.genesyslab.com/training/gcp8-system-consultant,-voice-platform-(gcp8-cvp).aspx and open the study guide "GCP8 - CVP Study Guide" (it's a pdf). In the end of this file you'll see some questions.
If you went through the GU material and deployment guide, you won't have problem to pass.

I agree with IF. If you read DEP and US guide,do not worry about exam suggest. Genesys training course in this "mode" is quite simple and easy, unfortunately.

Agreed, was disappointed it wasnt more difficult.
I attended the course and then studied the manuals without following the study guide which seemed enough.

Ok, thanks for the advice everyone. Yes, I saw the sample questions on the study guide but they seemed to be too easy to be indicative of a real exam. I was expecting to be at least challenged, it almost seems not worth the effort now :-)

I haven't bothered too much with the GU GVP Deployment material and instead I'm focusing on the deployment guide as this has much more in depth information. I've been working with GVP8 from design to implementation for the last 18 months so know my way around the basic implementation, my main areas of concern are the ancilliary services which I have not dealt with directly, i.e. CTIC-C, PSTN-C, SSG, MCRP Proxy etc. Also worried about all the different config options to remember as there are so many different ways to deploy the solution (as is generally the case with Genesys software). I'm also only familiar with the Linux deployment using Simple Vritual IP failover rather than NLB, and knowing Genesys training courses only focus on Windows, I'm expecting more focus in that area.

Well not as worried about it as I was, so appreciate that. Will keep on the same revision path then and fingers crossed will be ok!

Cheers,
Clemo
