Nuance Vocalizer

Hi guys,
Any of you have info/documentation on how to install/configure and test/integrate with GVP? I have Nuance Vocalizer SDK installed and language pack installed. I never worked with this version and no documentation yet from Genesys...does this need a MRCP layer too as it does with Nuance Speech?
Installed FlexLM and license file and it is ok.
Configured XML file to point to the FLEXLM and ports as well but can't find any service or exe to run...so I guess this does need something else to consume it and parse it...
Regards

yes, you need to configure the MRCP speech resource.

Manuals? What manuals? LOL! Getting the software from Genesys was big task already
I did it by test and try following the idea I did for Nuance MRCP server 4.0...
So first install SDK, language pack, then find the xml file ttsrhsclient.xml and modify the license and ports section (of course you installed a FlexLM with Nuance license before). Now install Nuance voice server and should be it...
I guessssss this is MRCP v2...
Will try now and let you know :)

I'm trying to understand what Nuance's SW & version i need to install? I don't know is the 6 version is supported or not with GVP 8.1, that's why i choose 5. My current knowledge follows:
1. nvn sdk core 5.0.5 - NVN_5.0.5_sdk_core_installer_windows.zip
2. nvn (vocalizer) - NVN-5.7.2-x86-windows.zip
3. nss (speech server)  - NSS-5.1.8-x86-windows.zip
4. mrcp client - NSS-Client-5.1.8-x86-windows.zip
5. voice

6. do i need studio for tts? it yes, which version?

???

You'll need to do it like that (I mention the procedure for both ASR and TTS):

1) Install License Manager
2) Install Nuance Recognizer (the NRec-9xxx file)
3) Install the language packages (like NRec-9xxxxx-en-US)
4) Install Vocalizer (the vnetwork_5xxx_SDK_corexxx)
5) Install the voice package (nvm_5xxx_Voicexxx_Bod)
6) Install Nuance Speech Server (NSS-server-5xxxx)

You don't need to install MRCP Client (MCP has built in MRCP client).
You need to create the Resource Access Points. All that stuff are in the Genesys manuals.

For ASR the vrm.client.resource.uri is like rtsp://<servername>:4900/media/speechrecognizer
For TTS the vrm.client.resource.uri  is like rtsp://<servername>:4900/media/speechsynthesizer

If you want to use MRCPv2 then vrm.client.resource.uri is like sip:mresources@<MRCP server IP>:<port> (both for ASR and TTS)

My preference is MRCPv1 because MRCPv2 is not as good in failure detection. MRCPv1 is using RTSP protocol which is based on TCP so socket failure on Nuance side is detected better and resource is getting out of service instantly.
Regarding, Studio, never used it.

Nice! and this avoids the error of using only TTS and not both! MRCPv1 rules!! Thanks!!
